HELSINGBORG

Sweden

HELSINGBORG is a mid-sized city with about 150 000 citizens. It is situated in the south of Sweden on the coast to Öresund, the narrow sound between Sweden and Denmark – just across from Hamlet’s castle in Helsingor. The city has devised an ambitious municipal plan for climate and energy, which states that Helsingborg is to be climate neutral no later than by 2030, and the city actively engages citizens and local businesses in pushing forward the sustainability agenda. To reach its objectives Helsingborg needs to cope with emerging flows in last mile deliveries and promote policies for alleviating negative effects while introducing concepts of shared MCCs and innovative technologies based on delivery bots and CAVs, relying on its advanced city-wide connectivity infrastructure.
